Every visit is counted on our own server. We record what happened and a coarse context — nothing that identifies you and nothing that links one visit to another:
For these counts we do not store your IP address, and we do not set a cookie or any other identifier. Because there is no identifier, we cannot tell whether two of these visits came from the same person, and we cannot single you out. Ratings are the one exception, described next.
A rating is only worth showing if one person cannot cast it a hundred times. So when you rate a game we store, next to your Yes or No, a short fingerprint made by hashing your IP address and browser identification together with a secret key. The IP address itself is never written down, and the fingerprint cannot be turned back into one.
It does let us recognise a second vote from the same connection and browser, which is exactly what it is for — so, unlike the counts above, this is data that relates to you, even though it does not name you. Several people sharing one network appear to us as a single voter. It is stored only for games you actually rated, and only while the rating is kept.
| Name | Purpose | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|
pudu_gate, pudu_form |
Remember that you passed the access check, so you are not asked again. Used only where the site is access-restricted. Expires after 30 days. | No — strictly necessary |
pudu_lang |
Remember the language you picked. Stored in your browser, never sent to us. | No — your own preference |
pudu_consent, pudu_vote_* |
Remember your cookie choice and that you already rated a game, so we do not ask twice. Stored in your browser. | No |
pudu_total_drops, pudu_offer_shown,
pudu_offer_dismissed |
Count how much of the game you have played in the browser, so the app is offered once rather than repeatedly. Stored in your browser, never sent to us. | No |
pudu_src |
Remember that you arrived through a campaign or a scanned QR code, so a later download can be attributed to it. A short tag, stored in your browser. | No |
| Google Analytics / Google Ads | Measure how the site is used and whether an advertisement led to a download. | Yes |
Google's cookies are set only after you press Accept. Until then the tag runs with all storage denied, which means no cookies are written. If you press Reject, none are written at all.
Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies there at any time.
The counts are stored as one row per action, each with the fields listed above and a timestamp — not as a running total. They carry no identifier, so no row can be traced to a person. We delete them once they are older than 26 months, and the deletion runs on its own rather than on request.
A rating outlives that, because it is part of what the page shows. Its fingerprint does not: after 26 months the fingerprint is overwritten, so the Yes or No stays counted while the link to a connection is gone. Data held by Google follows Google's own retention settings.
This site is not directed at children. The game is rated 18+ and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under that age.
If you are in the EU, the UK, or a country with comparable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to info@pudu.studio. Note that the counts we keep contain no identifier, so we are usually unable to locate a record belonging to a particular person.
The Android application is a separate product. What it collects is described in its own listing, not here.
